Utilize Flat2VR's discord when you have questions. My recommendation for 'easy' is to try ReShade. There is a free VR mod for Firewatch I played. The mod made by VorpX for Cyberpunk 2077 for example is free.
There are a decent number of games with game specific VR mods and some of them are fully available for free but many if not most are Patreon supported projects.
